5G,
what it is? Weather it is important or not? All this question arises when we
talk about 5G. Many of us don’t know about it. So, lets start with basic
definition:
In
5G, ‘G’ stands for generation. 5G networks are the
next generation of mobile internet connectivity, offering faster speeds and
more reliable connections on smartphones and other devices than ever before.
Development of 5G is being led by companies such as Qualcomm, Huawei, and Intel for modem technology and Nokia, Ericsson, ZTE, Cisco, and Samsung for infrastructure. Devices that support 5G network are Samsung Galaxy S10, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 etc.
Now, the first question arises in our mind that is can recent phone use 5G? So, the answer is no because
network availability will be
limited in 2019, and it may not support until at least 2020.
The next question arises, weather
the 3G and 4G networks will work with the 5G network? The simple answer is
no because it is estimated that the 5G network will occupy
a 6 GHz frequency band.
Importance of 5G network:
So, if we talk about its
importance, now a days, technology is growing with a rapid speed and to being
upgraded with the fastest growing technology we must need a quality device with
a best performance of internet connection which only 5G provides. 5G
networks will offer consumers incredible broadband speeds at home (up to
20Gb/s). Along with that it will also improve user experience and have very low
latency. 5G has the potential to be
20 times faster than 4G,
meaning you can download
things 20 times faster or download more in less time.5G has a peak speed of 20 Gb/s, while 4G's is only 1 Gb/s.
Countries most likely to launch 5G network first:
Countries that most likely to launch 5G network first are the United States, Japan, South Korea and China. Network operators are expected to spend billions of dollars on 5G capital expenses through 2030, according to Technology Business Research Inc., although it is not clear how 5G services will generate a return on that investment.
